Kayla Clough has risen to the top of her field as a seasoned entertainment news journalist with more than a decade of experience. As a graduate of Hampton University, Kayla understands the importance of diversity in media. She’s passionate about empowering young Black women who aspire to have thriving careers as media professionals and entrepreneurs.

Kayla, a New Jersey native, got her start in New York City working with esteemed broadcast network CBS News. While at 48 Hours, a documentary news magazine show, Kayla honed in on her skills as a researcher for 48 Hours on ID and TLC. She then went on to the network’s affiliate service, CBS Newspath, becoming a key point of contact while coordinating content to over 200 CBS news stations and clients worldwide. After working several years in television, Kayla joined Entertainment Tonight in Los Angeles as a digital video producer and manager.

Kayla currently serves as a general board member for the National Association of Black Journalists LA chapter. Through NABJ, she mentors and provides resources to university students through NABJLA’s education committee. Kayla got a knack for the non-profit space after working with young people at the NYC non-profit, Reel Works, advising on various filmmaking projects. She also served on their advisory council as a subcommittee member. In her free time, Kayla is an avid traveler and enjoys dancing at studios across Los Angeles.
